I often say that Denver International Airport is my second home. Given that I’ve just gotten back from two back to back trips, I guess that’s a pretty accurate assessment! Hitting status on multiple airlines annually, spending countless hours circling the parking garage to find a parking spot, getting dizzy in the labyrinth security lines, waiting for the train and eating hundreds, maybe thousands, of meals waiting for my plane to ‘cross your fingers’ take off on time. Another delay, another meal. What, three MORE hours, no problem, I’ll have the Chicken Picatta from Chef Jimmy’s. Not today, I overslept and security took too long, give me the three egg omelette and make it to go. Hurry please!
I’ve tried not only all of the restaurants, but quite possibly every meal from every restaurant at the Denver Airport (DEN) also known as DIA (Denver International Airport). My favorite “home” cooked meal always comes from one of three restaurants: Chef Jimmy’s, WolfGang Puck, or Que Bueno Mexican Grill.
Chef Jimmy’s is located on Concourse A, while the other two are located on Concourse B. Here’s a little trivia for you. Chef Jimmy’s It’s not a chain but it is part of the Quiznos family of restaurants. Chef Jimmy is actually the owner of Quiznos.
Bottom line, food is tasty, drinks are a bit pricy and service is hit or miss depending on who you get. But I’m all about the food, so it works great for me!
