Easy Eats are blog posts that contain quick and easy recipes without a lot of blog! If you’re busy or crave convenience like me, these recipes are for you!
Just in time for an easy Sunday morning, this Tropical Paradise Smoothie is so good you’ll think you’re in Paradise! So creamy that I could almost convince myself I’m lying on the beach in Mexico sipping a frozen tropical libation—Ahhhhh… Instead of sitting in frozen Colorado in the dead of winter sipping my new yummy breakfast creation! I’m still a Happy Girl!
You’d never know how healthy this drink is because it tastes SO GOOD! Low shug, low glycemic, high in protein (you know I LOVE my plain fat free Greek yogurt), greens, healthy carbs and still yummy, naturally sweet and TROPICAL!
In fact, this Tropical Paradise Smoothie was my Ninja’s maiden voyage! I will say I probably should have read the instructions before getting started, but I was so excited to get her out of the box I just went for it!
I was super impressed that the machine has its own timer and pulse schedule—this is why they call it Auto IQ. At first when it pulsed and stopped, I thought I broke it and I started playing with all the buttons! Then I realized it was SUPPOSED to do the pulse-stop-pulse-stop thing because it was working the ingredients from top to bottom and making them SMOOOOOTH! So Smart! Oh and you may want to pay attention to the FILL (max liquid) line – I didn’t and it still worked great! But just in case.
See, I’m one of those people who you want reviewing products for you because I’ll see if I can break it before I read the destructions—ehr, Instructions. If it can stand up to me, it’ll work for you!
I’ll admit I’m having so much fun with this new Nutri Ninja that I’m just gonna cut to the chase and give you this recipe so I can go play with it some more!
Try this Tropical Paradise Smoothie yourself and let me know what you think! Better yet, share your favorite smoothie recipe in the comments section below.
Tropical Paradise Smoothie Process Notes
I used the large 32 oz. Smoothie cup for this Tropical Paradise Smoothie so I could share with Double Portions! I’m so nice! If you are Ninja-less 🙁 you can use a blender.
Easy Eats - Tropical Paradise Smoothie
- 1 c lain fat free Greek yogurt
- 1 medium banana cut half
- 1 handful spinach/spring mix (half spinach/half spring mix)
- 1/2 c frozen mango chunks
- 1/2 c unsweetened coconut almond milk
Place all ingredients in your Ninja Nutri with Auto IQ (or your blender) and blend until SMOOTH!
If using the Nutri Ninja, use the 32 oz. smoothie cup and pour in the coconut almond milk last - try not to go above the FILL line. Use the NURTI NINJA BLEND button (the one with Auto IQ in the corner).
If you need a sweeter smoothie you can add a little coconut nectar, agave syrup or honey.
Ninja Kitchen recently provided the Nutri Ninja Auto IQ Blender Duo for my review. I’ve heard from a lot of Ninja lovers already who love their Ninja’s like I do. I’ve also heard from folks who say they’ve been considering this model. So not to worry, there will be a full-blown review in a later post. In the meantime though, let’s see what this thing can do!
